Celebrated Christmas in July 2023

There was live entertainment music by Jamie Valerio and Matthew Bennett

They served Corn Beef hash and turkey dinners. There was a drawing for over 20 prizes.

Christmas in July is a time to get festive and celebrate all things Christmas in the summer. If you’re looking for a mid-year boost, Christmas in July is the perfect event.

This is a time to get in the holiday spirit and spread some joy by hosting small gatherings centered around Christmas-themed activities, dinners, entertainment, seasonal music, movie marathons, and gift-giving.

Did you know?

The term “Christmas in July” was given national attention with the release of the Hollywood comedy movie “Christmas in July” in 1940. The plot follows a man who is fooled into believing he has won $25,000 in an advertising slogan contest. He buys presents for family, friends, and neighbors (and even proposes to his girlfriend!). The idea of Christmas in July was also used as a way of promoting the concept of sending Christmas gifts early to GIs serving overseas during World War II.
